Art Genres
Traditional Landscape
Bob's chief influences were the Hudson River School artists. These artists were often the inspiration for creating the city views and landscapes from different places, such as New York, Wisconsin, Ireland and other areas.
Imaginative Landscapes
In Bob's later years he created a new type of landscape which blends several environments into a new setting. It is a kind of "stagecraft" that evolved often with groups of people and scenes selected in such a way as to create activity and drama.
Pen & Ink Drawings
Bob's pen & inks began when he drew Christmas cards to send to relatives and friends, which became a tradition in his family. A package of 4 notecards, depicting Brooklyn scenes, are available for purchase.
